What happens with 3 topics that aren't strong enough for their own posts...

Remember this post where I talked about the possibility of a free vacation because of the wonderful world of blogging?

Well, I've been keeping it under wraps, but cannot contain it anymore: we are headed to the Great Wolf Lodge this weekend!! All because I am a Mom who writes blogs!! Honestly? I don't feel worthy of being chosen, but I definitely am GRATEFUL!

So, my question to you guys is this: What are the things that you like to hear about when reading a personal review of a vacation spot? Food? Service? Affordability? Seriously, let me know what you feel the hot topics are as I have no requirements in this deal other than to write a post about my experience.

I certainly have plenty of ideas on how I'm going to write the post. Especially since we've been to this resort SEVERAL times and have never had a bad stay. But any help on little details would be appreciated!
~~
On a different note: Here's what happens when your almost 3 year old is quietly singing and talking in the bathroom...
Oh, you can't tell what she's doing? But you noticed the countertop covered in countless bottles that are health hazards for an under-3-year old, right? Including, but not limited to, the stinky foot spray for Pat(don't ask), hair spray and gel (also Patrick) and air freshener (um, not going there...).

Here's a clearer shot of my darling daughter giving her baby a bath. Isn't that the most precious thing?(Ooh, I just noticed a phone book and a ball shooter from the Imaginext Dinosaurs' series. I can just picture a particular few bloggers cringing at their monitors... heh)

I know, I know, everyone's kids are cute and all, but come ON! She's freakin' adorable, isn't she?? She was singing and soothing her baby so it wouldn't scream due to the hand soap in its eyes...

"It's ok, baby. It's awight. I just washing you eyeballs..."

~~~~~
Yet another divergent topic. (Did I use divergent in the correct way? Is it really a word?) (Have I indulged in too many banana Laffy Taffy's tonight? Possible. Quite possible...)
ANYway. I think it is a crime of nature that a woman should have to endure not only a chin that looks way older than its 32 years (granted, I was looking down to emphasize, but puh-lease!! That's just wrong!).....
.... but also a freakin' pimple that can't be covered by make-up (or popped, either. Trust me.)
One woman simply shouldn't have to suffer this way! And then add my premature gray streak and penchant for wearing tie-dyes and ponytails (yes, I'm growing it out to do this again) and you have way too many polar opposites in one female spectrum.
It's a wonder I wasn't nominated for that Hot Blogger contest. The hot and sexy tostada that I am...
I need another Laffy Taffy.
Wow, yay for the Great Wolf Lodge! I grew up in Chicagoland, too, and went to the Dells plenty, though not there. So very much fun, and FREE?!?! Oh my gosh, yes, that is really very, very awesome!
Your baby girl is THE CUTEST!!! Honestly, I love that photo, and how she said "don't cry, I'm just washing your eyeballs" ... adorable!!!
Have a GREAT weekend!!
Wow, a free getaway, sounds great! Personally we have never been to Great Wolf Lodge (we have one in the the Cleveland area) But I have been to Kalahari and my then 7 year old broke her front two teeth. We were promised free tickets to get in another time but when it came time to get them "they forgot" and then the dude wasn't with the company anymore. Oh well.
I would love to hear about the things they have for various ages and the value (or lack thereof)
Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope to see you again.
that is great, i want to hear about the rooms, the price, activities - is there babysitting ?daycare ? how old do the kids need to be. is the food good ?
i think i would be interested in knowing if you the kids have fun and if you feel as if you get a slight break.
I think if anyone if qualified to blog about what a family expects out of a vacation, it's you. I'm sure we couldn't offer any input that you haven't already thought of. Have a great time!
I often find Bridget in the sink washing her baby - she has the same one, or at least one that looks like it (I've lost track of all her MILLION babies). We purposefully buy inexpensive shampoo, because we know Bridget will use it all in one bath if we forget to put it away. But you're right - they are awfully cute!
And let's not even talk about grey hair and pimples! My husband was SO giddy to point mine out the other day. Being so old himself (42! Ha!) he has to take every opportunity to make note of every little blemish of mine. LOL!
You are too funny about your pimple, chin, and hair! Have a great weekend, can't wait to hear your review. And Yes Corrine is just too cute for words.
Can I ask why the TWO hairspray bottles? Do you and the hubs not like to share? :-)
TOO cute C giving her baby a bath.
Have a great time!!!
Lucky you! ANd I'm certain that you'll do a good job. Maybe you could write about the atmosphere of the Lodge, and yes, the food.
That's what I say to the kids when I'm washing their eyeballs, too. Yeouch. (and yes, she IS cute!)
WE share a chin, I see! Ah, the mid30s are AWESOME.
2 bottles, um, just in case, I guess? I don't know. I don't USE hair spray!!
It's always exciting to see what chemicals get mixed up in the bathroom when I'm not watching. As long as it's not bleach and ammonia it's all good- right? Right?
As for the review: cleanliness, service, pricing. What's included and what's not. Cleanliness, again.
Have fun. Perhaps I need to do more posting about my need to visit the Caribbean?
Have a great trip...looking forward to hearing all about it.
Breathing deep sighs of relief that the baby has clean eyeballs.
What a great gig. Congrats! And I can't wait to read the review. I like to read reviews that don't skimp on the details, and that provide info on cost, other stuff to do in the area if you're not into the main "attraction" of the spot (eg: you're not into gambling, but are going to Vegas), and also details about the rooms (what's included, what's not).
Very cute photos of Corinne. And I too am suffering from the same things you are: prematurely gray hair, zits, you name it. Aging is a bitch, isn't it?
Congrats on being selected for that review opportunity - how exciting!
I really like to hear about the accomodations and what is included- like free breakfast etc.
The pic of Corinne in the sink giving her doll a bath is beyond cute!
OMG I have been checking out my chin in the mirror and it's drooping. WTF. I'm mad.
But - she is too, too cute. And so are you.
I LOVE that she is giving her baby a bath! Last year I had a little girl in kindergarten who used to give birth at least once a week in free play. I had another little one who was a FABULOUS birthing coach. Who knew??
You have the prettiest eyes.
And do tell us how you scored a free getaway. WTG momma!
My mom told me last year that she finally stopped getting pimples. I said "Great! Only about 25 more years of pimples for me then!"
That's a huge BLOGGER perk!
You go girl!
It seems like the day you turn 30, you start aging in turbo, you know? No passing for a teenager anymore!:)
But in my head, I'm still 22.
I have that same zit every month around...yeah, you know.
Have a wonderful time. Go you.
She is way too cute. Hope the pimple sorted itself out for ya.
Not e computer lately, I've been catching up, and I just CAN"T pass this post by!
Isn't it great when instead of thinking about the mess we reach for the camera! You GO mom!! And yes, she is the MOST adorable 2 yo princess I know. And I don't think it's possible to overdo it with the self esteem at 2, just watch and make sure she can compliment others as she gets older!
And I am with you on the face thing, the wrinkles, the zits, AND gray hairs now here and there. They warn you about the gray coming, they don't tell you how WIRY it will be! And every zit seems to leave this red dot. Every. zit. Maybe I need to drink more water?
ps, 32 in November. Ugh.
Shoot, one more thing, you might want to lay off the laffy taffy just a tad, you sounded SOME kind of hyper! ;-)
