A Sunday Review...

One of the things I love about blogging is the products I get to review, and the prizes I can win! A few days ago, I had 3, count them, THREE boxes delivered to my doorstep! A couple of prizes and a couple of things to review. The CLR will be reviewed when I, ah, clean... I'll let you know when THAT happens... (ba-dum-bum) But today! Today I review a lovely children's book by fellow blogger, Kristie Finnan...
Mommy's High Heel Shoes, by Kristie Finnan
Illustrated by Pat Achilles
Mommy's High Heel Shoes is a sweet book about a little girl who wonders why her mom wears high heels to work every day. The pictures are colorful and the story is amusing, as "Cakes" imagines all of the things her mom could need those heels for...

Corinne is 3, and really enjoyed the book. Though she did get frustrated with me for taking so long on each page as I searched for the heart, cupcake and ladybug that were hidden on each page! Some of them are TRICKY!! The best part of the book, however, is when her mommy declares that the BEST job she has is being a MOMMY.

Thanks for the opportunity to review it, Kristie. And best wishes on future books!

Sounds like a great book to keep kids busy and visually stimulating...and I love the 'best job is being a mommy' part, how cute.

What a fun thing to be able to do! Get stuff for free, check them out and play with them and then blog about them! I never knew there was such a thing...I might have to check out that book, it sounds like my daughter's kind of thing (she adores shoes).

How cool that you get to do so many reviews. The book sounds really sweet too. My daughters aren't very likely to see their mommy in high heeled shoes anytime soon!

Sounds like a fun book! My kids get frustrated when I don't move on with the story at their speed :)

Sounds like a awesome book for girls. As a children's author myself, I can relate to how books shape the minds of kids. It is always great to read a book to your child that makes you smile, as well. Best wishes to the author.
