I treasure today
as my job description is
updated once more.
Strollers and wagons
morphing into bicycles,
as I watch them grow.
Babies no longer
yet, thank God, still young enough
to hold Mommy's hand.

Very nice, and thanks so much for checking in on this here Florida girl!!
Happy weekend to you!!
Nicely said. You will *morph* many more time and each change is good. Have a fun weekend.
Very precious and yes, in a mommy's job the resume is updated often as the skill set grows exponetially!! Well done, you.
Very cute! Have a fantastic weekend.
Great haiku! I wish autumn were coming here. I miss the cool crisp air and fall colors... sigh.
Great Haiku. We grow wiser with each passing day as we realize we may never relive the days gone by.
Very sweet and very true haiku on how time just passes and changes. Nicely done!

Very well said! I didn't think about my skills being updated.
"young enough to hold mommy's hand"
Just today I realized that with J's ever-increasing walking skills, I'm holding him less and less.
I got sorta weepy (dang Sappypants) thinking about the fact that there will be a final time when I will hoist him up and hold him in my arms.
*sniff*
Oh...beautiful!
My son is only 14 months old and already I'm lamenting the passage of time...just this week I've been weepy over the fact that when I pick him up to snuggle him, he pats me on the back!
*sigh*
This is very beautiful Haiku. Lovely.
What an awesome haiku!
I have a toddler and a baby, so it will be a while for me!
Awww...I love the last line. They just grow up so fast.
That was beautiful. And it makes me feel a brief moment of panic at the thought of not having a baby to cradle anymore.
