Anyone that knows me well, knows that I love magic and all things whimsical... especially fairies! I put several sweet fairies throughout Corinne's room and have a few more for when she's ready to decorate it further. So, you can imagine my delight when I discovered the Disney website promoting their new movie,
Tinkerbell. Disney Fairies is an awesome website! Corinne and I have made several of our own fairies and decorated their homes. She has cracked up over watching the movie clips of Tink and her friends and there are even a few games to play, as well. We are definitely checking this movie out in Fall of 2008, but until then? We will make lots of fairies online!
Ever made a fairy house? I attempted one last year, but my daughter was a touch too young and my boys thought I was nuts (though, they did put a few rocks in there, for the fairy. And Evan thought that mulch made a nice bed... ) There are sites
like this that show dozens of pictures on how to make a fairy house. Corinne and I are definitely heading to the woods this year with flowers and making a fairy home!
Proof that there ARE real live fairies in the world...

Oh how fun! I looove fairies, and the wonderful thing is that my boy associates ME with Tinkerbell. I don't know why, but he thinks me and Tink are two of a kind. I'm not blonde, I'm not thin, and I don't sparkle. Part of my motivation for losing weight is so that I can wear a Tinkerbell costume for HIM this year (special request). We'll have to check out that DVD. It's too bad they didn't make it a film for movie release.
How fun! You two will have a blast making fairy houses together
:-)
What a neat idea, I will have to check that out for when Girly is a bit bigger.
Soooo cute! I'll have to think long and hard about whether or not I want my DD to find out about that website! :-) While you're waiting for fall--in an entirely different direction, have you ever seen the movie Fairy Tale: A True Story. Corinne is probably too young for it, your boys might enjoy it though, and I bet you will. IMDB describes it as: Two children in 1917 take a photograph, believed by some to be the first scientific evidence of the existence of fairies. Based on a true story. It's a very good movie.
Baby Girl and I will be checking out that site in the morning! I got her a book for Christmas called "The Midnight Fairies" and ever since then she's loved them!!
I love fairies! I love those pics!
Awwww...how cute is she??

Oh, so cute. What a great project for you and Corinne to do together.
If I ever have a daughter, we'll totally be making fairy houses. :)
Oh, and she's adorable, by the way. Love the fairy costume!
Stacey, I HAVE seen that movie! It was wonderfully done. Had me wanting to run through the misty woods and find fairies, myself.... which , I'll admit, I DO do, on occasion...
WE LOVE making fairy houses! It's the most girly fun...
she is such a cute little fairy!
Okay just watched the trailer with my daughter and she was entranced. She loves anything to do with Tinkerbelle, infact her last party was Tinkerbelle. Wow can't wait.
I love fairies too, got a tattoo of one on my shoulder.
Oh, it's Tinkerbell in the family room! :-)
Did you know there is a store in Long Grove that is devoted solely to fairys? I don't remember the exact name of it, but found it last summer when we went to Strawberry Festival. I bet you could pick up some cute things there for Corinne's room!
Have a great weekend!
Lizzy
I am jealous of you. I have two beautiful sons(who I love oodles) but I must admit, I have a closet fairy fetish and boy would it be great to be able to share it with a daughter. Enjoy it :)!

Too sweet!!
Avery's not into any of that girly girl stuff yet. Just Dora, Dora, Dora...
