What is with the purses and handbags these days?
Am I totally going against the grain here when I say that I despise the big ugly bags that are so popular? Frog green, 70's orange, plaid, big buckles, bulky handles, garish decorations... I could go on and on. They remind me of the bags we used to mock my poor grandma for oh, about 20 years ago!!
Am I all alone here? Am I a disgrace to my gender? Well, so be it. I don't like the big tacky bags.
For those of you that do, what is it that attracts you to them? Please explain!!

Can you post a link? I'm so totally out of date on fashion. My bags are a tote that I use when accompanied by my son (yellow gingham - high fashion!), and a messenger-style in a soft green. Oh, and a cute little sling bag I bought on etsy that has a ninja on it to protect my stuff. I am hopeless. What are you carrying?
No you're not alone here! I'm not one to collect purses and handbags, what's trendy is not a big deal for me - I just need something that works! Basic little black bag for me :)
i can't stand them either, i much prefer a medium sized understated bag! usually in some dark color with very small buckles if any!
I love purses!!! Have an insane number of bags and purses, BUT I can not stand the ones you are describing....I don't get that either......they are U G L Y!!!!!
Hmmm...you may be talking about me. I recently bought striped corduroy Fossil bag that I worship. I wanted something a little bigger than a purse so that it could hold a toy or 2 for Samn and diaper stuff, but I was so tired of carrying diaper bags I just needed it. It's my everything bag...and I love it no matter what you say!:)
Well if I see a 13 year old carrying one then I just have to have it. What I wouldn't give to be 13 again and know it all! Especially about fashion.
You are not alone! Fashion absolutely baffles me.
I have a plain black purse...will pockets on it for putting my keys in and the girls pacifiers in. I think there's a zippered compartment too. That's all it takes to make me happy.
Most of the time though I just toss my wallet in the diaper bag. I'm a mommy - highschool was ten years ago. I don't need to feel "cool", 'cause I feel loved.
And isn't that what it's all about.
