Not quite a post...

Can't blog.

Busy.

No time for adjectives.

Or complete sentences.

Engrossed in the book I'm reviewing.

Loving the storyline. Wondering which direction each twist will bring the family in...

Gotta read more.

Later dudes.

After reading the review for the book, I feel the need to point out that "Mormons" are not polygamists. Anyone practicing polygamy is kicked out of the church. Being Mormon, it irks me when people make polygamists "Mormon". (And, yes, I do realize some of them call themselves fundamentalist Mormons, but they really have no affiliation with our church.)

Backing off of my soapbox now. ;)

Katie,

I know that polygamy isn't supported by the Mormon church. But I do know that there are Mormons who practice polygamy. Kind of like the Catholic church that I was raised within: they don't support divorce, birth control or abortion, yet I know of many Catholics who have done all of the above.

I actually think polygamy is fascinating and can work well, if everyone involved is on board with the situation. Who am I to judge their choices? I think this book is interesting because of the idea that one can be surrounded by people that love you and still be lonely. Also, the idea that affairs are not about sex, but about the emotions surrounding freedom and new love. I am only halfway through the book and don't know where it will go by the end, but it's so well-written and the characters are so complex that I keep walking away from it, lest I finish it too quickly!

I can sometimes see the upside of polygamy.
