Working on it.

Ooooohhh boy. I am desperately trying to be still and just breathe this morning. It's pretty freakin hard when your day starts out with enormous boulders being dropped in your "bathtub." But I'm breathing and looking at my kids and breathing and trying to be still...

A joyful picture from just a few days ago. I'm going to reach that feeling again, today. Even if just for a short while. I WILL radiate some freaking joy, damnit.

I really do believe that you can will your self happy. Sometimes it is harder than others to achieve, but it can be done. Here's hoping you find your joy.

Sometimes it's nice to start your day with low expectations :). Then you can be pleasantly surprised by what the day brings.

Working on it is half the battle, right? This season of life has to pass sometime; I hope it will be soon. I'm ready for spring. Love to you.

What a great idea, to look back on a photo from a perfect moment with the kids. That or try (not easy to achieve, but try) to make another. I'm going to try to do that today: bike ride to the grocery store with a frozen yogurt reward at the end (sponsored by their own piggy banks. Am I evil?). This will hopefully erase the morning of whining (them) and nagging (me). The sun is shining, the leaves are brown, the hills are still greenish. I am going to let nature cure all ills.
