Peee-youuuu

There isn't any other way to wake up than to the sweet cuddles and kisses of your 4 year old daughter. She stroked my face and kissed my eyebrows and I sighed happily and gave her a kiss back. She snuggled down onto my shoulder and squeezed me tightly. And then, ever so softly, and with the kindest of voices, she whispered this advice to me:

"Hey Mommy? When you wake up and get out of bed? You should get right into the shower, ok?"

Ahem.

Nothing like sweetly being told you STINK by your preschooler at 7 am...

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard. Especially since, well... she was right!
Have a good weekend. Be sure to bathe often.

I just wanted to log in and say hi. I've been lazy and reading through reader for so long.

Can't believe Corinne is 4. She is beautiful and I know she and my 4 year old tear it up and have a blast at a playdate if only you were closer.

And I? Keep feeling that tug to have another baby too, but I don't really want another baby, I like my 2 big boy/baby girl thing. But man, what I wouldn't give for some baby vapor.

Oh that is one funny way to wake up. My boys usually mutter something about my morning breath. I like to mutter back about theirs. I am mature like that.

My daughter gags more because of her Dad these days :-( I used to get the same treatment, but I must be smelling sweeter of late.

That's funny - as long as it's not me!! Although my daughter frequently tells me in the morning that my breath stinks.

I don't mean to be rude, but I am curious. From my reading of quite a few American blogs it seems that many refer to 'bath day' or say what a luxury it is to get time for a shower. Is this a normal part of life in USA? Doesn't everyone bathe or shower daily? Again, no offense intended .... it seems to be a difference in cultures or something. Perhaps it is why many American blogs I read also seem to imply that washing your bedding any less than twice weekly is a fate worse than hell. (Not yours - I don't recall ever reading about it here). We shower before bed, so the bedding only gets washed weekly in the summer and fortnightly in winter. (Bet you really wanted to know that.)

Mum-me,

Ha! Um, no. It is pretty common to shower daily or at least every other day in the USA. But for moms who are, erm, LAZY like me? The shower seems to fall at the end of the list. Also? Washing the bedding every week is an AMAZING FEAT in my opinion. Sending you major kudos. ;)
