Defeated...

Sitting here, just feeling, well, ticked. Not Pissed Off beyond recognition, but angry in a defeated, pathetic sort of way. Knowing that I cannot change a serious issue for someone I love dearly. Knowing that her life, though incredibly full and blessed, doesn't have the freedom of "health" that mine does. Knowing that every good day is a blessing. Knowing that any day could mean a trip to the emergency room and a difficult, trudging climb back to "normalcy."

It pisses me off. And there isn't a single damn thing we can do about it....

I'm so sorry. Watching people we care about struggle is so painful!

I got some heartbreaking news about a friend today too, sometimes life just isn't frackin' fair.

We just have to keep praying I guess.

I'm so sorry... I've been in a similar situation and you're right. It sucks.

It is so hard to watch someone we love suffer. I think this has been the single most difficult lesson for me to learn as an adult: that people suffer and most of the time there is very little we can do about it. We have so little control. I sure hope your friend gets better (if that is even possible). I am sorry you both have to go through this.

This is the tough stuff. Eat some peanut M&M's-they have healing properties.

Thinking of you Tracey and saying a prayer for your friend.

This kind of thing is never easy. It's so horrible to watch a loved one suffer and be powerless to fix it. I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better, but I don't think there is. Just know you're in the thoughts and prayers of a lot of people! Best wishes to you and your friend.

That stinks. We kind of have the same thing here, so I feel you. It is awful to watch someone suffer and to feel so powerless.

Thinking of you - you and your friends are in my thoughts and praryers. I wish I could say more, but the right words never really feel right. Take care of yourself.

I'm sorry you're hurting for your friend, and I'm sorry for your friend's situation.
