After the party....

Hey, hey! It's President's Day! Which means.... well. I'm not sure. I know it means that the kids have no school today, so we're heading to Shedd Aquarium! Other Chicagolanders, it's discount day there. Make sure you check all of the museums for free days and discount days. Saves you a WHOLE lot of money.

Anyway, just wanted to post a pic or two from Justin's party yesterday... It was a good day, and he handled the whole inundation of clothing this year quite well. 12 shirts, 3 pairs of pants, 12 pr of socks, and some pajamas! 3 books, a computer game, a dvd, and a video game. Not a SINGLE "toy." He was disappointed, but really handled it SO maturely! Last year, he would have pouted, cried, possibly even thrown an all-out tantrum. His brain has definitely caught up to his age. It is so refreshing to know that the chances of him having a good day outweigh the bad chances. We've waited a long time to get to this point....

Me and my baby! Thankfully, he still likes to hug and cuddle...

Evan "helping" Corinne color... I think she smacked him right after this, cuz she does NOT need help!

Dancing till you pass out....

My nephew!! Don't you just want to eat him up?? Oh, he makes me question my whole resolve to be done having babies....

We were supposed to do something fun today... and then Hubby got called into work. I could still go do something, but I want to wait and see if he gets home in time... :S ANYWAY, I'm glad that the party went well! There will come a time when he won't be disappointed at not getting any toys :)

He questions mine too! That is one precious little baby!

Happy B-day to your son.

Dude, if you really want to know if you want one more, offer to keep that teeny baby for a night. Might change your mind. :)

Ooooh, sweet baby!
He looks like he had a fun party - it's hard when they get to a certain age and start being a bit old for most toys, isn't it?

We were totally going to go to Shedd this morning. We're going tomorrow for sure. I think this entire week is discount week? I know today and tomorrow are for sure.

Hope you had a good time! I can't wait to get Hailey back there...

Party time, day off, trip to the aquarium--what fun! Oh, and that nephew . . . what a doll. Such a baby addict, I am.

I miss Chicago--so much to do!

Seeing those little babies makes me want another one too! Then hearing them, I'm pretty secure in my decision to stop reproducing!

Was it SUPER crowded today at the Shedd? I've thought about doing that -- on free or discounted days, but I get very overwhelmed in crowds and then no one has any fun...

The Shedd Aquarium!!!! Now I am jealous! I love it there. I can't wait to take the boys. Have fun!

And by the way, your hair looks great!

You're the mom of a big and grown-up boy, I must say.

And your nephew...oh, the baby lust is kicking into high gear now.

Hi, Tracey!

The pictures from the b-day party are great (I really love your new haircut, that length and style look great on you!). Your little guy is such a good sport, I can only imagine, I know how my boys were when they received clothes! ;) Also, your nephew is just beautiful, what a blessing!

Shedd was crowded, to be sure, but my kids were well-behaved so it was manageable. Had they been having issues with behavior, well. The crowds would have been UNmanageable, then... But it was FREAKING COLD. That's all I have to say. Chicago. February. Not a good mix...

Looks like a great party! I am loving your hair. It makes me want to cut mine too but it's not near long enough. I am going to donate mine too but it won't be for quite some time.

Thanks for insiring me to do it :-)

First of all, how do you keep your carpet so clean?

Glad to hear the birthday celebration was a success. It's always great when they get clothes because they outgrow them so quickly!

Kami, that's AWESOME! I'm thrilled!

Kailani, you have no idea the hysterical laughter that your comment instigated... My carpet is FILTHY. Coffee, juice and pet stains are EVERYwhere. The pictures must camouflage it, which would be nice in real life, too!
