Springtime and my Refrigerator...

Springtime... aaahhh... The air has truly taken on that uniquely springish feel. Fruit vendors are on road sides in the sunshine, selling baskets of strawberries and oranges. Though it is quite probably the same fruit available in the supermarkets; being on display in the radiant sunshine gives each piece of fruit a vibrant hue that positively calls to your tastebuds.

I have been attending the Chicago Food Swap pretty regularly since I first learned of it last summer. I am anxious to see what types of summertime produce will find its way into my refrigerator from various gardens and kitchens throughout the Chicagoland area.

Knowing that any fruit or veggies that I purchase or swap for will last longer in my refrigerator because of the Fresh Flow Air Filter in my Whirlpool Gold side by side refrigerator makes me much more confident in my produce acquisitions. I rarely need to throw any fruits or veggies away anymore, unless somebody hides an orange on a random shelf behind a suspicious box of leftover Chinese food...

*Disclosure: I have been reviewing our new Whirlpool Gold side by side refrigerator in exchange for my honest opinions. All views remain my own and no monetary compensation has been received.

Hmmm. Maybe I should consider this awesome 'fridge. I've been buying a LOT of oranges. You know. To pop into my pint of Blue Moon. And this was not a sponsored comment. ;)
