Brrrr....

Just spent a lovely hour in the snow with Evan! We had such fun, just the two of us... I don't get many opportunities to have true alone time with him, and when we're inside, it's so easy to not "play" together and get involved in chores, etc.

We built a pathetic lil snowmen (I never can make good ones... always short and pointy-headed) and I pulled him on the saucer sled for a while. Flipped him over a bunch of times... heh, heh! He also got to play with his friend next door that we don't get to see as much lately, with the school schedules conflicting. And Corinne slept through it all... What a day!

Oh, also? I am (as usual) pissed at all retailers that haven't figured out that we need LOTS of boots, mittens, etc. in Illinois. Cuz, you know, it snows and all. Oh, and that we will STILL need that snow gear come January, so please don't start the spring line of clothes until, well, SPRING, m'kay? Corinne and I ran out this morning and I got the LAST PAIR of size 4 snow boots for Justin at Target. Wal-Mart didn't even HAVE his size!! COME ON!!!! It's only December 5th!!

Rant over.

Anybody else get lots of snow??

It's crazy how the stores don't prepare and stock for winter or summer when they need too - isn't it? I'm so jealous you all got that snow. Have fun. Kellan

Lots of snow would be an understatment. It's snowed daily for the last week.

We have the same problem with stores running out of winter gear and here we have no excuse when winter is like 6 months long.

No snow here, but if you need boots, let me know. For some reason these same retailers believe that Southern Cali needs lots of boots and mittens and scraves and hats...
Glad you had a fun snow day :)

We are SO out of mitts, too. I think my kids eat them.

We got snow and I felt bad the kids couldn't play in it. They had school and then straight to church yesterday so maybe day they will get to play?

yep snowed here...and great on the boots, 7 year old needs a pair. *eye roll* it is MY fault though for waiting so long.

We have about a foot here in upstate NY. And I hear you about the boots! I decided (apparently late to the party) to buy Isabella some boots two weeks ago. And I couldn't find them anywhere!

I'm in Georgia and can't understand why on earth the stores have loaded down with heavy duty winter gear. I mean, come on, the heaviest most people need is a little heavier than a thin jacket...and that lasts only a few weeks out of the year.

Right now I'm enjoying finding short sleeves on clearance for next to nothing because we can totally still wear them.
