Pinching pennies till they scream in agony...

So. Any advertisers looking for someone to review FOOD? Anyone? Anyone?

I love the stuff I get to review. Really, I do! It's just that I sure would appreciate reviewing something I NEED right now. Like, um, Food. And gas. Yes. I would love to review a new gas station. Anyone want to send me a gas card for review?? How about shoes for my 10 year old whose toes are pushing up and out of the front of his sneakers? That said, so are my 7 and 3 year olds' feet...

I guess being broke makes for a much more environmentally sound home, right? That said, I must sign off for the DAY as I am trying to cut back on electricity. Yes. It's that tight...

I think we might be living in a parallel universe right now.

No help, but plenty of empathy.

Hope it gets better soon...for both of us.

I am right there with ya, honey. Some weeks we have plenty of money and other weeks we're trying to coast everywhere we can in the car to save gas because we only have $4 in the bank account and it's only Wednesday. Brad & I have taken up only eating at either his parent's house or mine on the weeks when we don't have the kids. Not to mention said kids are starting to look as raggedy as me with all of our overgrown hair! And I have a 7 year old with holes in the soles of his shoes, too. You just hate it for them, don't you?

Hang in there, girl! Glad you were able to get a little "me" time in while you could. Brad & I planned a couples vacation with some friends of ours to Vegas back before we realized we would have NO money right now. But we're not canceling our reservations, because money or not, we deserve it!

I know I have some gifts cards laying around. Email your address and I'll send them to you.

I spent the giftcard my mom gave me for my birthday on new shoes for the kiddos. I feel your pain. But I have shoes that fit my feet, and you know....I kind of figure that they should have that too. I did admonish them to stop growing for a while though.

I know what you mean about being broke! I was so excited the other day when my friend told me that our local Toys R Us has a new food section. It's just snack type kid food but my kids are about to be home all summer! I have a $50 gift card to toys r us from last Christmas (because seriously...do I really need another toy in this house?) I'm going to go to toys r us and stock up on summertime lunch goodies for the kids. When they see squeez-its in the fridge, they will think I am the coolest mom ever!

Oh, and I have found great shoes at Goodwill for my daughter. Brand new looking New Balance sneakers for $4. Suhweet! She has since outgrown them so now we are moving on to flip flops from Old Navy. Well, she still wears the too tight sneakers twice a week. They are threatening to flunk her out of P.E. if she shows up in sandals again. Only 5 days of school left, then she can just go barefoot!

I think the economy is hitting everybody hard right now. I hope we have a turn around and you get some great products to review. Food sounds good. How about some coffee? That is my favorite.
