Killing her with kindness

There are certain conversations that make you leap from your toasty warm bed and race downstairs. One of them begins with:

"Do you know what Evan made for Corinne for breakfast? He spread sour cream on a piece of bread, sprinkled cinnamon on it, and called it a cinnamon roll!"

I replied that he must have meant BUTTER on the bread, because that's one of Evan's favorite creations. To which Patrick insisted,

"No, I'm pretty sure it was sour cream. It was white!"

Sproing!! I was out of bed like a flash, picturing the mess he must have made with the DIP I made with cream cheese for today's birthday party.

Thankfully, he didn't use the Tastefully Simple Key Lime spread. (YUM)

Unfortunately, he managed to actually FIND sour cream in the fridge. This is an undesirable situation not because sour cream and cinnamon is gross, but because I couldn't remember the last time I had BOUGHT sour cream!!

For what it's worth, Corinne loved it.

And, Awwwww! What a nice brother, to make breakfast for his baby sister!

Let's just hope she doesn't get food poisoning from his kindness....

Check out my pictures at the homeschool blog when you get a chance.

Ah, that's cute! Thoughtful. I can't believe she liked it!

That is very thoughtful but I can see why you sprang out of bed!

Glad she liked and it and as long as the sour cream was still white and didn't taste funny, she should be fine!

I'd worry if Shea started serving some of the condiments out of my fridge. Eeeeeek!

Kids don't seem to have the same preconceptions about what foods are supposed to go together and can eat some pretty strange stuff. Hey, maybe sour cream and cinnamon is awesome!

OMG! I couldn't stop laughing at the mental image this post created. LOL! I seriously hope Corinne survived her breakfast. ;-)

That Evan, what a sweetie!

Future note to self: become even more anal about checking expiration dates and place Mr. Yuk stickers on items in fridge that I don't want little hands getting into.

There.

Maybe Corrine has the whole, "it all goes the same place" thing figured out?
