Random moments

Corinne is fresh and clean today! Not from her bath last night. No. From the Febreze she sprayed all over her shirt and (undoubtedly) in her face. She seems to be able to breathe and see all right, so I'm not worried. But BOY does she smell fresh!

I get to chaperone Justin's field trip to the Shedd Aquarium tomorrow! PLEASE let it go well!!! He told me he got to pick the kids for his group. After finding out who they were, I am about ready to spike my coffee in the morning. None of them are bad kids, but the 4 of them all combined will make for an ACTIVE day.

Serenity NOW!!!

I actually got my rear outside and pulled and cut and sprayed a bunch of our thistle weeds. This seems to be a tradition each spring. Here's to hoping they DIE this year.

--
When we picked Evan up from school today, Corinne was so excited to see him, that she bulldozed him and almost knocked him down with her hug. He was THRILLED and I was a bit verklempt (sp?).

--
Patrick is taking Justin camping with Cub SCouts this weekend and I am realizing that I have NOTHING planned for me and the other 2 kids! Good or bad? Not sure. We will have plenty of unplanned days this summer, so I am thinking a trip to the dollar movies while Corinne gets a sitter would be a good chance for me and Evan to get a date night in. I think they have the Last Mimzy playing. He really wanted to see that, but BOY will Justin be p.o'd to find out that he missed it!

So. Deedle deedle dum. I have nothing more. Are you still here? Hmmmm. Is the glass of wine showing?

Wish me luck at the fish house.

Hope the field trip goes well! Our kids went on a field trip to a Berber village to learn how to make Berber bread. The television crew went with them to film their little blond heads and little tiny hands kneading dough. Now they think they are celebrities. Great training for being bakers...lol!

Lol at the Febreze! That could be a commercial, lol! "Works even on kids, particularly if you don't have time to bathe them."

Since my kid is only 3, I haven't been faced with being a chaperone yet. I guess I;ll do it while she's young and isn't MORTIFIED at the thought of her un-cool mom coming on the class trip. Like when my mom came on my class trip to Boston in 9th grade. Yes, I'm still mad about that! LOL

And Sabrina doused herself in Febreze the other day when JD wasn't looking. I came home from grocery shopping and almost gagged at the stench. Oh well, at least it wasn't Lysol. :-)
