And here we go again...

Evan was fine, FINE, all day, until 7:00 hit. Sure enough, he started asking for the pain reliever, which I gave him. He is now yelling in agony. Tell me, is there a psychological reason for him to start having problems at nighttime? Cuz I'm gonna kill him if this continues, night after night. He hasn't had nightmares, new stresses, or major life changes. He hasn't changed his diet or routine in any way.

I was signing on to say how well he did today and to show these remotely funny pictures, but now I'm all pissed off and anticipating another horrific night. Pray that I keep my mind... that I remember that at least he didn't test for something awful. Things could be much, much worse, right?

So. Here's my pictures. yay... Take a good look at those unfinished walls, cuz they apparently aren't getting done anytime soon.
Oh yes. I am DEFINITELY having another one of those...

I was going to say the same as Melissa ... perhaps the pain only comes on when he is lying down??

I'm sorry ... I hope tonight is not too bad.

If it's worse when lying down, maybe he has reflux? Or gall bladder issues? I know my husband has horrible reflux and before he was diagnosed and treated he couldn't go to bed at night unless he had eaten dinner at least four or five hours before, any sooner and the acid would kill him.

When my oldest son was about 5 he had similar problems. He had incredible abdominal pain, in the middle of the night and all night long. I can empathize with you. It is incredibly frustrating and exhausting. I feel for you.

Thanks for your support, ladies.

It's not only when he's lying down, but that is something to consider as he usually is relaxing by then.

Tricia, I would have to say that I cannot imagine anything at school that would be causing him issues. Of course, doesn't every parent say that? But I truly think things are fine. I've observed his class often, and he seems to be a pretty average kid on the popularity and intelligence levels. He has never exhibited signs of distress in going to school.

THANKFULLY, he slept through the night last night! THANK YOU GOD. Please, let this continue...

Get some rest girl! The walls will wait.

It's good to hear that he slept through the night at least, hope you got some shut eye, too. That sure is strange how it comes and goes. Did the ER doctor want you to follow up with your own ped. dr., or did they just say to wait and see? BTW, You're too funny, love the message on your wall! Have a glass of wine for me, too, I can't 'cause I'm allergic to it! Hope things get better! :)

Didn't you say your husband is out of town? I know when my husband travels, the kids always experience "weird" problems because they really miss their dad.

Hugs Tracey!!!! I shall be partaking soon, as soon as I am certain the eldest hooligan is asleep and can no longer terrorize the younger bros.........

Oh poor Evan. You both must have been so scared. It sucks to have sick kids but I think it is even worse to not know what is wrong with them, but I am glad to hear it is nothing serious.

I hope for you a good night sleep and a happy, healthy little boy. Take Care
