What exactly do I DO all day???

On Saturday, I judged at a high school speech meet, as I do throughout the speech season each year. This leaves Patrick home alone with the kids for entire Saturdays, which is good for everyone involved. Especially when I come home and he exasperatedly explains why the house looks a mess:

"I kept trying to clean, but everytime I'd wipe the floor up and turn around, she'd be spilling or pouring something else again!"

No. Way. MY daughter? My 2 year old daughter was making deliberate messes faster than you could clean them up? Get out of here.

Hmmmm.... I don't think this explains why my house is perpetually messy, does it?

That picture with the sugar (?) cracks me up! She looks so pleased with herself...
Avery's a bit of a neat freak, but my house is still a mess :)

I have a 3 year old and I also wonder why the house is always a disaster.

So funny! God they love being messy, don't they? I just had to learn to look the other way...

You can't keep up with them - they are on a mess-making mission! That sugar picture was priceless! Take care.

Cute pictures. It is always nice when the dads realize what us moms do all day long,

I consider it a good day if I only trip over a few things left lying around on the floor.

She is so cute! Love the pictures.

When my four older kids were small we had a dog. He followed them around and loved their messes. When I would go for a vacuum or a mop it would disappear. Mmm.

Very cute. And my house is perpetually messy too. I've given in to the mess, I'm sad to say.
