Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes...

I was just sitting at my family room window, watching the large, lumpy flakes falling from the heavens. Absolutely breathtaking. It's amazing to me that a collection of water molecules at a certain temperature can be so beautiful, so magical, so quiet... Then I take into account the sheer number of snowflakes that have fallen to Earth every day, for millions and millions of years, and I am completely bowled over. Nature is incredible...

We spent a brisk day at the zoo, today. The kids were remarkably well-behaved, (trying not to sound surprised, but, well, they're kids!) and the animals were out to enjoy the last days of moderate cold before the freezing weather kicks in. I think we stayed next to the Alaskan Brown Bear for almost 20 minutes, watching him eat the fishes' heads and then the bodies. Pretty spectacular, especially since the exhibit has a glass window that lets you be within a foot of him.

Corinne ran around most of the day and the stroller was basically a bag and drink carrier. What am I going to do with all of our stuff when we no longer have a baby to justify the stroller?!? CARRY my crap?? I don't think so...

Tomorrow, the school week begins again. Joy... Schedules. Alarm clocks. Packing lunch. Good times...

Last year's sledding excursions... eagerly awaiting this year's!

That's funny you said packing lunches because I just got done packing my daughters for tomorrow!

And meanwhile, I save packing rushes for tomorrow morning's miserable crabby rush. I learn nothing.

I LOVE watching the snow fall. I totally know what you mean about the quiet too. Somehow it is so calming.

I hear you on the busy schedule of the school week. Only 4 weeks till Christmas vacation :-)

Oh, you are so lucky to live where it snows! I'm so jealous and I could almost see those flakes as you were describing them. Back to school tomorrow (Yippie!) - see you soon. Kellan

Hi,
I was just catching up on some of your posts, sounds like the zoo was fun! I forget about going there in the wintertime. Your meme list was great, especially loved the "booger" one, cracked me up! (and I thought I was the only one who wiped other peoples kids noses!) I used to tell my kids I was checking the "batcave" for "bats". Haven't heard from you for awhile, hope my pms moment didn't scare you away. :)

Watching the snow fall is one of life's best things.

Hopefully after the doesn't need a stroller, you won't have so much crap! I've thought the same thing, what WILL I do will all this stuff!

1. PLEASE keep the snow there with you. I'm afraid the state will shut down if any appear here.

2. I miss my stroller. I'm seriously considering getting one of those modern walkers with the built in bench.

LOL! I hear you about the stroller! We were at LegoLand once and we rented a stroller even though there were no kids with us!

My babies love the zoo. I love the zoo. Not so crazy about the zoo in winter....and when the babies are too old to justify a stroller you'll have to load them down like pack-mules!

I love the quiet in the snow fall, I just have to go out in it. Does anyone know why it gets so quiet?
We didn't get any snow that stuck here in Ind.
