Busy busy!

Busy, busy!!

I've been on the computer a lot lately, but not on the blogs as much as I have been making a Christmas letter to go with my cool Christmas card from Jamie. I've also been making a 2008 calendar for my MIL and her Mom. I am really excited over the layouts, and hope that they turn out as well from the photo place (I'm probably using Walgreens) as they look on my computer. Here's a few months' pages so you can all tell me how cool they look.

I don't mind. Go ahead and tell me...

Those are very cool. Where did you get the layout? That would be an awesome present to give for Christmas!

I'm using the Scrapbooks Plus program. 2 of my months have ready made layouts and the other ones I have been doing on my own. I love that I'm actually MAKING something again. I miss being artsy...

The calendar idea is lovely Tracey. Lovely designs. By the way - thanks for dropping by my blog this evening. Isn't Blogworld brilliant where Chicagoland can so easily be twinned with Yorkshire, England?

So cool. Is ScrapBook Plus hard to use? I'm not craft (although I aspire to be...someday). I made calendars using Snapfish last year and was pretty happy with them, but your pages are way nicer.

I love the way you scrapbook. I could never do that. I don't have the patience for it. I do however think it's the best gift to give someone. :)

Kristi, you can buy Scrapbook plus software. I think it's pretty cheap (like $10 or something). There are lots of scrapbooking programs. Once I played with it for a while, I learned that there are LOTS of options to make different layouts. It's almost overwhelming, the amount of options! There are also some premade layouts that you can use as a jumping board, or just use straight up. I think I used 3 or 4 in the entire calendar.

I looked at Snapfish, but I didn't like how all of the pages were picked for you within a theme. I wanted to make each month myself.

I had to figure out the way to upload it to a photo .jpg thingy. (export as an image, I believe it's called)...

Wow these are great! How you find the time with 3 kids is beyond me, you are supermom.

I made a similar calendar for my mom last year, and she loved it... your family will definitely love these!

I have never had 12x12's printed, I just did 8x10 (because they are less than two bucks at Walmart..) BUT a lot of my edges got sligtly trimmed.. so you might want to leave a tiny bit of wiggle room.. but then again, they may be more exact than Walmart!!

Oh Jamie... Had I only had that advice earlier... I just spent about an hour editing and adding and cropping and SWEARING. They now FIT the damn photo thingy through Snapfish (slightly cheaper than Walgreens...) and I have ordered them. They had better get raving reviews because the amount of man hours I put into them!!! Oooohhh....
