I'll play along.

I have nothing else to talk about besides Airplane! Tomorrow! Packing! Stress! Excited! AYIIIEEEE!!! So, I'll join in the babywearing photo thing from Happy Jack's Mommy

I couldn't pick just one pick... Mainly because if I look good, then she's looking somewhere else, and vice versa. So, these 3 are a group from last year. I like them for this photo meme thingy because it shows the ease with which parenting 3 kids can be when one is being worn, instead of needing my hands. Justin was changing from a Tiger scout to a Wolf Scout. A very important ceremony during which a parent (usually the mom) will meet their son at the end of a trail thing.

ANYWAY, I could do the changing of the hats, scarves, etc. without any problems. I do seem to have the sling on a bit low with the rings much lower than I like now, but that's just me being nit-picky.

I got "hooked" wearing my babies when Justin was a baby. I just used a front carrier and only until he was 6 or 7 months, but I could see how much easier it was to bring him places.

When Evan was born, I borrowed my sister's Nojo sling. Very big and bulky, with lots of padding. It was actually way too big for my small frame, but I carried Evan in it for months because I didn't know there were any other slings available!

Well. When Corinne was born, I again used the Nojo sling for her newborn days. Again, it was fine, but I found (through the lovely internet!) that there were so many more choices!!! I bought a Maya sling and still love it. I am a very frugal person, so buying a variety of colors and patterns is NOT my idea of a fun time. (Holy crap. Do you know how much they cost???) So I bought the nice bluejean looking wrap that matches everything. And we use it all the time. In fact, I plan on using the sling for the baby and the stroller to carry the car seats at the airport tomorrow! Much more practical, and she is very comfortable and relaxed in it.
Becoming a wolf... See the baby tucked in there? With her brother's hat on?

Me and my brood. Can't even see the poor baby under that hat!

What great pictures. And by the way, wearing the baby through airport security.... smart move. I manage to navigate the 2 busiest airports in the United States with my lil' punk, a suitcase, a carry on, a stroller, and a gigantic car seat. I put the carseat in the stroller. I wear lil' punk. I push the stroller with one hand, and I pull our luggage with the other. It's funny- people stop and stare!

You are a better woman than I.

I just decided to give birth every five years so the oldest could be the "sling" and "hold your brother while I do this!". Works pretty good.

Have fun on your trip! Stay safe...

I took Ducky on a plane by myself when she was 15 months old. I actually bought a "hip hammock". What a disaster! I returned it! I went the stroller route, but got a special back pack so I could "wear" the carseat. :-)

I didn't take to babywearing, personally. I had a baby bjorn, but stopped using it after she was around 3 months old. She was too heavy, and i felt like i was still 9 months pregnant.

I really admire moms who can do it for a long time.

Have fun in FL!

Great pics!!! I wish that I had had a sling with my kids... well, I did with my first one and he cried every time he was in it...not sure why... anyway, I did have a baby backpack that I used once they could hold their heads up really well by themselves.

Isn't it great all the things you can do while babywearing? Especially with older kids!

Love the new look of your blog! Hope you have a great time on vacation (be sure to check out the Lego Store at Downtown Disney - I know! It's not why most people go, but it's worth seeing.). Love your scout pictures. It's hard to believe that Son #1 is away at Boy Scout camp (2nd year) and that Son #2 just bridged over to Webelos 2. A couple of years to go before Son #3 is a tiger.
