Sippin my cup o joe

My feets are cooooold.

But my coffee's HOT.

(insert happy face emoticon with coffee steam. Ahhhhhh....)

If only Patrick could get paid to stay home all the time... That would rock. (I mean, more than the unemployment. Cuz that's not rockin so much...) Having him home so much is actually working out nicely. (Except for having to share my computer so much. That is driving me a little nuts...) He's been showing a bunch of new clients real estate, so we're hoping for ONE sale. Just one would set us up for quite some time.

My checklist is daunting, but I'm slowly knocking the to-do's off, one by one...

Yeah. That's about it. I have been consumed by feelings regarding all of the unemployment/homeschooling/flooded basement issues. We're not really freaking out, yet. Though I did hold Justin extra long last night, wondering how he's going to feel that first Monday that he stays home and Evan heads off with his friends... Wondering how I'M going to feel, when he misses something that the school offers.

Shake it off, girl! COURAGE. That's all I need. A little medal from a man in green, assuring me that I am brave enough to do this....

I hope the real estate market perks up soon, too. If only we could sell the pesky Mountain House, life would be a lot smoother. Not that it's not awesome to pay the mortgage on a house we don't live in or anything.

Glad you're hanging in there!

I'm glad to see you're upbeat in the face of everything you're dealing with. Things will turn around; I'm sure Patrick will sell a house soon. People still need a place to live, right??

As far as homeschooling goes, if you're worried about him missing out on certain things, you may want to think about this in the future; a lot of schools have programs where homeschool kids can go to certain classes, like gym or science, or participate in extracirricluar activies. Plus, I would guess that there are different homeschool groups in your area where you can go and do different activities and meet new kids and all that stuff.

Anyway, best to you. Things will iron out on way or another. ;)

The unknown is always so scary. I hope you find extra courage and peace too. :)

You can do it! When are your kids spring break? Was wondering if you would like to check the Monkey Island? I think we are going during my kids break let me know. I think there is a website.

Hang in there, life is throwing you some serious curve balls but you are dodging them! It will all work out, I just know it will.

Enjoy the coffee - it's the small things that get us through the day!

You are definitely dealing with a lot, but sounds like you have the right attitude to face it all. Good luck!

You CAN do it. if anyone can, it's you. Hang in there. You're doing what's best for your son, and that makes you supermom.

I've got my fingers crossed for that one sale. I can imagine what a relief that would be.

My heart just aches for you and your boy. I've thought about homeschooling too, but always in terms of all or nothing. It would be really hard to watch one go off while the other stays. Is Justin excited about it?

Thinking of you.
