Christmas moments...

Let me never, NEVER forget last night... watching my husband and 2 year old daughter dancing to love songs by the Christmas lights. I sat quietly in the corner, watching and knowing, just knowing, that the time from then till her wedding dance would fly. FLY by. I will look at her one day, graceful, beautiful, brilliant (and probably taller than I!) and weep with joy at the amazing person she has always been.

For now, I can hold that picture in my heart. I can pull it out when she dances with Daddy again, but is taller and older. I surely will cry, as I did last night. I will remember that, after she left to run laps around the house with her brothers, Pat and I danced by the lights. Close, romantic, genuine... His 6'4" body by my 5'2" one. We danced for no one but ourselves and the lights.

I am blessed...

Oh don't start talking about the wedding dance, I'm just starting to cope with with her being two... :)

Beautiful moment to remember though... and I know you always will.

Awww, this makes me think of the dance with my Dad at my wedding. My Mom special ordered a song that was about that exact moment.

It was a memory I will cherish forever.

Thanks for stopping by.

I thought the exact same thing when my 2 year old daughter danced with her daddy to Christmas tunes this year. She's my 3rd and most likely last,so like you I am cherishing every moment!!

Sabrina's Big Girl Bed (twin sized) arrived on Saturday. And I cried real tears as I was packing up all her crib-sized sheets and baby blankets.

They grow up too effing fast.

(Aside: I did NOT cry packing up the changing table covers last summer. To that I danced a jig of glee)

Oh, this is so sweet. I don't want to imagine my baby all grown up, but it's happening right before my eyes.

I had to try the candy cane after you said coconut.... that would have been good! This one tastes more like pepto bismal though.

Your words are so true, the time will fly by faster than you know. Luckily you are taking note of these special moments. She'll love hearing this story when she is all grown up! AND,..slow dancing with your husband? I'm jealous! :)
