Do I ever post on just ONE thing?

So we DID hit the pool yesterday! Yay for summer! Aside from regular old difficulties with Justin (what else is new?) we had fun. Evan was a fish the second he hit the water and found a friend from his preschool that lives in our neighborhood. Instant fun! Corinne wasn't 100% sold on the idea of the floaty yet, but she'll have to adjust soon, cuz we are a swimming family!

I will TRY to not complain about my oldest too much this summer. We are so alike in so many ways (not all of them great) that we can butt heads easily. I love him. I know he loves me. I just need to temper my anger, maintain a monotone voice and attitude when he starts to get riled, and have a plan of action ready at all times. But I am SO not that kind of person. If you yell at me in a horrible voice, guess what? I will get MAD. Duh. I am not a freaky mean person. I won't yell without reason, I won't hold a grudge (too long) and I DO apologize to anyone I've wronged or had a misunderstanding with (no matter how hard it may be). If only I could get Justin to do the same. If he would only accept the responsibility every ONCE IN A WHILE even, and say sorry without having to scream for 2 hours and then grudgingly say it while not meaning it.... sigh.

Aaaaaaannnnnd.... I'm done. No more complaints. Things could be WAY worse. My children are healthy, capable, and HERE.

Please cross your fingers and toes that an opportunity being presented to Patrick pans out. It could mean great things around here, and I'm hoping it all works out. He is terribly excited about it and I would love for him to get the chance to do this. That's all I can say, but you probably get the gist, right?

Evan and Corinne were crying yesterday morning cuz I was spraying and killing the "baby worms" that were crawling on our garbage can.... Ewww.

And I am PROUD To say that we only have a small bag of trash each week now! Between the new diapers and my newfound devotion to recycling, we are doing GREAT. My family's contribution to landfills has dramatically decreased. We will continue working towards even less. I'm thinking that Christmas bags will be the way to go this year. We always use SOME, but I think we will INSIST on bags for everything we can fit in one.

We started recycling too and you're right - it's amazing! Now our recycling bin is FULL every week and our garbage bin is only about half :) We take our bottles in and get the cash for them. Then we go and buy donuts. So really, it's a win/win situation ;)

I hope my kids turn out to be fishes. They may have to save me one day since I can't swim! LOL!

I need to find a swim club nearby. I've been wanting to get back in the water since last weekend's camp swim test.

Re: your post title. You're a multitasker, like I am. my blog zigs and zags too. :-)

I hope that all goes well for Patrick.

Justin has you as an example to look to. It's a difficult (sometimes seemingly impossible) and frustrating road. I know. Mine is now 18. THANK YOU GOD! But after all is said and done. They pick up on all those little things that they pretended went in one ear and flew out the other. What I'm trying to say is; he'll be alright, and I know this because you're raising him.
