The cycles of before were NOT like the situation we find ourselves now.

Jan Jan, I understand that no one person is 100% right or good. But I truly believe God holds us responsible for our actions and that the actions of the past 100 years are catching up to us.tracey.becker1@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09606831315390042198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27598861.post-60285617569351251162007-04-06T12:35:00.000-05:002007-04-06T12:35:00.000-05:00OH PLEASE! It is those people who choose to ignore the facts, instead calling the climate crisis "hype" or "God's plan" that leave me feeling so irrate I literally shake with anger. BTW, if I am not mistaken, Gore spends thousands of dollars in RENEWABLE energy. I purchase renewable energy, too, through my electric and gas company. It's not enough to recycle or dry your clothes on a line or use cloth instead of plastic. It's about changing attitudes and perceptions. It's about seeing the climate crisis as a humanitarian issue and not one of politics. It is about accepting blame for the state of our planet and NOT saying it is God's will.

I am SO happy you got to see this film. I LOVED IT! You also may want to read Jane Goodall's Harvest for Hope. It was a life-changing book for me.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07570437173288571934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27598861.post-3708955771813408232007-04-06T09:56:00.000-05:002007-04-06T09:56:00.000-05:00I love your blog and I have to vent a little here ...I love your blog and I have to vent a little here on this topic.

This film is from a man who lives in a house with a utility bill in the thousands and he has to take his private jet everywhere he goes for "security" reasons.

I put my faith in God. He made a climate that cycles. Look back through history and you will see many cycles this old planet has been through. We are so insignificant in the big scheme of things, we should definitely take care of our planet, reduce, reuse, and recycle and teach our kids the same. We should be good stewards of what this planet gives us-but we must never forget that God is in control.

Don't believe all the psycho propaganda! They want you to reduce, but they do not. So how much do you really think they believe it?janjanmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15390742086078397725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27598861.post-87854445811598862522007-04-06T07:45:00.000-05:002007-04-06T07:45:00.000-05:00Sadly, the recycling alone isn't the issue. It's the carbon output from cars, factories, homes, businesses, etc. I'm mulling through ideas on how to encourage people to make cuts in everyday life. If only we had been FORCED to make changes 20 or 30 years ago... If only...tracey.becker1@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09606831315390042198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27598861.post-15041825485779928572007-04-05T18:00:00.000-05:002007-04-05T18:00:00.000-05:00I've heard it was a very powerful film/documentary...I've heard it was a very powerful film/documentary. We try to recycle as much stuff as we can, but I know there is still more we can and should be doing - thanks for the reminder!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02441176684416139172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27598861.post-28406337573284763582007-04-05T13:46:00.000-05:002007-04-05T13:46:00.000-05:00dude. i think about it all the time. and how helpl...dude. i think about it all the time. and how helpless i feel. the website has good info, though. i think it's www.climatecrisis--.com or .net or .org

we have to do what we can do.katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14405765385526956575noreply@blogger.com
