What works beautifully is a squirt of dish soap in a cup, fill 3/4 up with water - make sure you get a nice foamy head on it. Add a dollop of apple cider vinegar and sleep soundly knowing you'll wake up to many a dead fruit fly. (They get instantly stuck in the bubbles and drown.) <br /><br />No funnels to mess with. No pesky flies to release.
